Spout length and diameter
Pressol documents exact compatible metal cans for its flexible item 21 080 001. hünersdorff offers a 25 mm diesel spout with vent tube for listed metal cans. The receiving filler neck can be just as important as the can connection.

Remove the spout for transport?
Follow the actual instructions. VALPRO explicitly says its Flexi Spout should be removed for transport because the spout does not make the can airtight.
Seals are service parts
A hard, cracked, distorted or swollen seal should not be forced back into service. Replacement seals need to match the closure and fuel. Similar appearance alone is not proof of compatibility.
Generator suction systems
hünersdorff lists a suction system intended to supply generators and engines directly from compatible metal cans. That is dedicated equipment, not a template for improvised fuel-feed systems. The engine or generator manual must also permit the arrangement.
